Joel Customs is a small company based in North Devon (nr Woolacombe) headed up by Joel Blackman; sponsored surfer, carpenter and all round creative. Dedicated to creating high quality, handcrafted, bespoke products with an ethical and sustainable outlook.
Sustainability
Joel Customs is extremely keen to make the most eco friendly, long-lasting and high-performing, custom designs they can, which has lead them to the place where they are now, using sustainable timber, recycled foam and EPS, Entropy eco resins, combined with the highest quality aerospace and natural fabrics.
We are working on a number of new green initiatives with a main focus on safety for us a manufacturers; quality and performance for you to provide a sustainable future for the life sports culture we all love. We work with sustainably-minded organisations to develop more eco friendly products, including Entropy Resins and Sustainable Surf and Surfers Against Sewage.
We don't believe in the old polluting, carcinogenic materials used to make surf and skateboards and so we are endeavouring to push forward with eco-friendly, high-performance, long-lasting equipment for you. We live life sports every day, so we demand and understand the quality equipment you need.
This is only the beginning, as materials technology moves towards more eco-friendly products we will work with new materials and modify our products. We're advocates of Surfers Against Sewage and the amazing work they do for us all, campaigning for a cleaner ocean environment.
Surfboard & Watercraft Repairs
As well as building new eco-friendly surfboards, we also repair and restore fibreglass surfboards and any fibreglass craft including old classics using epoxy or polyester resins with fibreglass and carbon fibre.
We can also respray and colour-match repairs and provide custom artwork with a quick and professional service. You can leave your board with us until your ready to pick it up. We've repaired boards for Loose-Fit, Nine Plus, Tiki International, The Little Pink Shop, Point Breaks Watersports, Baggy Lodge, and Croyde Surf Life Saving Club.
